January 2-While we were home in FL, we had Madeline baptized at my hometown church. It was just glorious. Perfect. Heavenly. Madeline was an angel. Not quite. You would have thought the baptismal font was secretly telling her to scream her head off the entire time. And not to mention, it was quite possibly THE longest baptism I have ever experienced. So put two and two together (screaming baby + longest baptism ever) and you have a a few pews full of annoyed people. Maybe white wasn't her color. Maybe it was the fact that Uncle Bryan didn't buy her her own cross and she had to wear a hand-me-down one. Maybe it was the Deacon saying she would become a preacher when we all know she desperately wants to be a dancer (have you seen this video?). But the important part is, she's one sacrament in and she looked adorable. May God Bless my sweet little doll. I'm her mama and I say she's a doll. No. Matter. What.
Surprisingly enough, she actually loved the actual Baptism part.

How pretty is that headband from Auntie/Godmother Bridget?
