Here is the rest of how our May went (as if you couldn't tell from the picture above or the title of this post):
Sam did a lot of this:
So mommy did a lot of this:
And this:
But we also filled our days with schoolwork, the spray park, playground, and lots of storytime/craft hour at the library. You know, in between the crying, diaper changes, grocery shopping, dance practices for the recital, endless cleaning...oh and did I mention diaper changes? I guess I should be grateful I only have one spawn in diapers. I can't imagine having double the diaper duty. Sam poops like he gets paid per diaper change.
All that playing sometimes leads to naps...at least she tried to make it all the way on the couch before passing out.
This is how Sam hangs at the playground
Madeline is working on faces and letters. She apparently finds Ella's name much easier to write than her own name.
Ella spent many evenings at recital practice. Which in turn meant we spent many days having her practice her tap and ballet dance over and over again at home. She is a perfectionist to say the least.
I discovered the Woombie. It is an amazing swaddle blanket and allows Sam to give me a nice four hour stretch of sleep at night. (Don't ask what happens after the 4th hour). Here's Madeline testing it out...such a good sis.
We survived a crazy storm here. Have I mentioned how happy I will be to leave Tornado Alley very soon? This was the aftermath in the backyard after 70-80mph winds, rain, hail, and crazy lightning. Transformers blew outside, trees fell...bark stripped off of them. Needless to say, I sent Tom out during that to pick Ella up from dance that night. He's such a trooper;) (that's looking down from our kitchen door to our bottom neighbor's trampoline. Their new trampoline since their old one was destroyed from a wild windy storm one night a few months ago).
The girls got new sweet kicks:
I'm not even sure what is happening in the photo below (from Madeline's face, she isn't sure herself), but I wanted to add it.
I also apparently remembered to take photos with Sam because I found a lot of "selfies". I think Tom might have to start documenting me as a mom;)
Sam is mocking my fish face
See? I am always snapping pictures of Daddy and Sam.
We worked on fattening up Sam. I found the start of a thigh roll.
We spent some time with our awesome friends, Chris and Josie, during Chris's R&R. The girls loved seeing them!
Sam certainly felt the love from his sisters this month as well...of course.
And I couldn't end a post without some really sweet photos of my little man:
