Happy May!

Playing catch up as usual! The beginning of May was busy! We had company (anyone shocked to find that out?)...two of my closest friends came to visit. I loved having them here. We explored places I have never been like the winery and took a tour of a mansion. It was nice to be able to get out and about and do grown up things without dragging a child with me.

That same weekend we also had Sam baptized. I know, I know. He's a year old. I am a bad Catholic. I have heard it all. Truth be told, life got in the way. It took us awhile to find a church we loved and wanted to become members of (how many Catholics do you know who have signed up to be members four different times in three years?...exactly. Not many I bet.) Once we found St. Mary's, I instantly fell in love and knew this would be the church Sam would be baptized in. Unfortunately, it's a very busy church and the earliest they could fit us in was May. So we waited patiently:)

Sam looked dashing in his all -white suit complete with a bow tie. He didn't make a peep while he was blessed either. (I don't know if it was a baptism miracle or not, but he started sleeping through the night after this as well). Sam's godparents couldn't make it to Newport for the baptism, but our friends Travis and Jen stood in for them. I loved having them by our side as we celebrated this sacrament, and to look out in the pews and see my friends there as well. It warmed my heart to know Sam was very loved both near and far.
Friends for 20+ years:)
