Even though Madeline was super sick while we stayed with friends in St. Louis, she still wouldn't stay home all the time. She refused to miss the fun stuff and would freak out if Ella was able to go somewhere and she couldn't. There was one thing we absolutely had to do while visiting...go see the Arch. And it didn't disappoint. That structure is amazing to say the least. I was in total awe of it.
Our trip to St. Louis wasn't ideal, but we made the best of it. Sightseeing was part of our plan while there, but God had different plans for us. I was certainly a mess during the stay and I am sure my true, albeit ugly, colors shined through. As a mom though, I only wanted my baby to feel better. It was the hardest thing for me to see her sick. I hope Luke and Caroline invite us back next summer and maybe we can finish the tour of the Lou.
