...to the amazing man in our lives!
We are some lucky ladies to have someone who loves us and makes us as happy as you do. Thank you for keeping us laughing daily, providing a beautiful life for us and for always loving us. I know there are chaotic days and hard days...but at the end of the day I love falling asleep next to you knowing you are my husband, best friend and someone I can count on no matter what. We hope you had a wonderful birthday (month!) and your 32nd year of life will be filled with tons of new memories and adventures. March 24, 2013

Oh Madeline.
She's our spirited child for sure. And she is really proud of herself for learning how to draw vampires. I still can't decide if I should be proud of the fact that she can draw a vampire...or worried that she even knows what a vampire is. And likes to draw them.
Her vampire. Take note of the fangs or it's really just a face with maybe some chin wrinkles.
I took the girls shopping in Norman one day when Tom was away for a weekend...never a dull moment with her.
She definitely wanted to jump in this fountain.

Spring time!
For a few days the weather actually felt like spring. We could break out the tank tops and flip flops and I was almost sweating in the sun. The girls wanted to go to the playground and pick flowers so off we headed to one of their favorite stomping grounds. I do believe they are at their happiest outside running around...or in a field picking flowers. They are both nature lovers and could search a grassy area for that one lone dandelion to make a wish on for hours. I can't tell you how many weeds *ahem* flowers these two have brought to me and asked to put in a vase at the house. Madeline brings me every dried up leaf, or stick or rock and I collect them happily. Or they mysteriously blow away in the wind. ;)
"I found a flowerrrrr!"
Yeah that's me in the spider web contraption. The girls didn't think my pregnant butt would climb it. I had to prove them wrong.

Pizza, Picnicking, and Parties!
We absolutely adore our neighbor's daughter, Louisa (and her awesome parents as well!). Louisa just turned 2 and is as cute as a button. I love that she calls the girls "Ella-Madeline" like they are one entity. We are trying to spend as much time with them as possible before they head out on their next adventure in April. Such is army life I suppose. Just when you become great friends with a family, it's time to say goodbye. Luckily we are both headed to the northeast area and I've been wanting a good excuse to get back to DC anyway so I am sure we will meet up again.

Picnic in the park!
Sidewalk chalking after nap time. I love catching them acting sweet and well behaved when they don't even know I'm looking.
Louisa's 2nd birthday. We took the girls to story hour and then celebrated later with yummy cupcakes and ice cream. I know my girls are going to really miss this sweet doll face.

March Happenings...
Sometimes I am in total denial that it is already March and we will be having a baby NEXT month, and I am trying to keep up with this blog so my girls believe I wasn't a total lazy pregnant person. But I tell you what...I was tired after a trip to the Post Office, the pharmacy, and the playground the other day.
But pregnant or not, life with my girls stays busy. I love it though. I know our lives will be changing so much in the next few weeks. I enjoy it as much as possible...the fighting and all;)

Ella loves drawing her Lalaloopsy dolls. And Madeline loves to stand on our coffee table and dance.
Ella drew Mickey. Freehand. From memory...she is truly WAY excited for our trip to Disney this June! ( You like our beer opener magnet?)
We attended a birthday party for Dr. Seuss. The girls are eating ice cream made to look like green eggs! They did some crafting, game playing, and took home a few new books.
We are trying to keep the playroom clean. I spent 2.5 hours re-organizing it the other day. I sometimes wonder why I bother, BUT it's a part of the nesting process!!
Lunch with Miss Josie. The girls adore her and she always spoils them. One of my very best army wifey friends. I don't know what I would do without her here!
The girls preparing a very important Easter care package for our favorite soldier overseas right now.
At one of my dr appointments. The dr always gives them the measuring tape to measure my ever growing belly. They get a kick out of it.
And that was our last week in a nutshell!

Almost 35 weeks
Hard to believe I am this far along, but I am feeling every bit of being pregnant. Between rolling out of bed instead of sitting straight up, to the pressure and braxton hicks contractions, to the minute swelling (hello fat face)...my body is just starting to feel old. But all in all, I couldn't have asked for a better pregnancy. At my last appointment he was head down and in perfect position. The dr seems to think he will stay that way *fingers crossed*. His guess weight is 7.1 lbs (if he comes at 39 weeks), but seeing how large I am...I'm going to add a pound to that. Tom wants this kid to come out as a linebacker, not a jockey. I, however, prefer smaller so I will not be broken in two during delivery. Need I remind my husband that this baby must somehow come out of me?!

Zzzzzzzz
Madeline has a tendency to crawl into our bed in the wee hours of the night. On a good night she won't bother us until after 6 and even then she will fall back asleep. I really haven't minded much except the times she wants to sleep horizontally and kick me. She is a wild sleeper. I almost think she will be taking her bed rails with her to college. I can't even imagine how she will ever keep from falling out of her bed after a few drinks. Safety first, right?
For me, this stage won't last forever, and I relish every bit of it.
Silly faces before bedtime.

Flyin' High
My last post was about how cruddy the weather was here. Now look:
We had a great time kite flying. Tom is really good and kept his cute Barbie kite in the air the whole time. (Madeline lost interest quickly when she realized running in flip flops on the wrong feet, two sizes too big wasn't worth seeing her kite in the air). But she had fun picking flowers (weeds) and finding the random penny for her piggy bank.
Ella's kite kept nose diving into the ground, but she still had fun with it. A few pouts here and there, but on the occasion when her kite did fly, the smile on her face and excited screams made me beam. She's growing up so fast. I can remember the first time I took her kite flying. She was 18 months old and just threw the kite on the ground. (I didn't expect anything less) Here we are, 4 years later, and watching her be so independent makes me long for the days of carrying her as a newborn. I need a pause button.

And Madeline finally got her kite in the air. Oh happy day!

Homemade Playdoh
Like I have said, the weather here has been crazy. One day it's beautiful, the next isn't. Well this particular morning was freezing and rainy. The girls have been begging for me to get the Playdoh supplies from the attic and I finally gave in. I found a recipe for homemade playdoh online and decided to try it out. It came out great! The girls were occupied for a long time with it and I added glitter to make it prettier and for a good two hours I was a really cool mom in their eyes. However, I do not know where I went wrong because by the next day it was a sticky gooey mess. I trashed it. Now Tom is the cool dad because he bought them Playdoh from the store and they like it much better. Oh well. I guess you win some and you lose some!
Really Madeline...the hair. It's killing me.
